ABOUT ME

I help brands make films.

For 20 years, I’ve worked on brands including OpenAI, Liberty Mutual, Coinbase, Pepsi, and The New York Times. I’ve worked at ad agencies including Isle of Any, 72andSunny, Droga5, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Wieden+Kennedy, and Leo Burnett.

I sincerely love people and enjoy leading big productions, but I’m not afraid to get hands-on when shooting with a skeleton crew. I believe films should get better as they get made.

My work has appeared on PBS, NPR, and in The New York Times, and has received awards at D&AD, AICP, and the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Film Craft.

OTHER THINGS

I shoot my own documentary shorts and I made a feature documentary called Chasing Bubbles.

I lived on a sailboat called DISCO, about which I kept a blog.

I love old cars. I restored and drive this Volvo 240.

I’m originally from Chicago and currently live with my family in Oakland, CA.
